Time flies.
13 years has been passed since the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake hit KOBE.

At 5:46 AM on January 17,1995, a huge earthquakehit the southern part of Hyogo Prefecture and lasted for approximately 20 seconds. That is the "Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake"
Approximately 6,434 people (final estimate as of 2006), mainly in Kobe, lost their lives as a result of the earthquake.

A lot of people gathered to Higashi Park to remember victims of the earthquake and give a prayer. We, each class also went to the Higashi park to do so after classes.

We would like to pass this fact and our feeling to the world through our students from all over the world.

Today`s keyword.

Yoi Otoshi wo!! (良いお年を!!)

means ⇒ Have a good new year!!

[A happy new year] is usually translated to [Akemashite omedetou].

However, [Akemashite omedetou] can be said only in a new year, but in the end of the year.
This means that you cannot say this to people now.
So what you can say now to people is:

[Yoi Otoshi wo!!]

You can say this only now till 31st of December, when you meet people whom you will perhaps see last within this year.

So let`s say this to your Japanese friend now!! ^^
